iCoach 2020 Update- Our 2021 Classes will be delivered virtually!
The iCoach New York Faculty have announced that the 18TH Year of our Program will be marked by a significant change- the entire Professional Coaching Program will be delivered virtually. In response to the COVID-health crisis, the iCoach Faculty and participants had to pivot and adopt after the third class this past year.
After that class, the entire program- including supervision and all participant coaching engagements, were delivered virtually. Based on that experience, and with the horizon uncertain about what 2021 holds, the iCoach Faculty has decided to modify the PCP Program to deliver it virtually.
This opens up an enormous opportunity to potential participants in 2021. Coaching students who have wanted to take the iCoach Program but have been unable to do so because where they resided geographically can now make an application. For our PCP Alumni graduates, this allows you to re-think people you might recommend to our Program. Now you can recommend your HR colleague working in London, San Francisco or Miami. You can talk to that OD practitioner friend who you’ve been telling about the iCoach experience- but who has been unable to attend because she lives in Chicago. Since it is unknown at this time if iCoach PCP will ever be virtual again beyond 2021, this may represent a one-time opportunity for virtual participants.
Based on last year’s experiences conducted classes virtually, on Zoom, iCoach Faculty have transitioned the PCP Program to a four hour class scheduled that will meet for sixteen weeks, starting February 12, 2021. All classes will continue to meet Fridays, except for one Thursday class prior to Good Friday.
Classes will be held from 8:30 am- 12:30 pm ET. There will be a total of sixteen classes with the last class held on Friday May 28th. Similarly, all supervision sessions and coaching engagements will be conducted virtually. While PCP classes will be held on Zoom, it will be up to coaching program participants and supervisors if they want to do supervision sessions by video or by phone. Similarly, it will be the choice of coaches if they want to their coaching sessions by phone or video. They may need to find out preferences of organizational Clients in this process.
Even though we’ll be able to cast our next wider in offering this Program, iCoach Faculty will not be increasing overall class size. Applicants to Program will need to be interviewed virtually by iCoach Faculty to be admitted. We have been very encouraged by the success of the class this past year and are confident the experience will be equally impactful in the year ahead.
